ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

This statement was last updated on February 18th.

We at Clark High School are working to make our site stagefrightsatx.live accessible to people with disabilities.

What Web Accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility Adjustments on This Site

We have optimized this website to comply with WCAG 2.0 standards, ensuring accessibility at the AA level. Our site has been designed to accommodate assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation. We utilize UserWay in order to compile with the requirements of accessibility settings provided to improve the user's experience despite their limitations.

  • Conducted a comprehensive accessibility audit to identify and resolve potential issues.

  • Set the site’s language for better compatibility with screen readers.

  • Organized content to follow a logical and structured reading order.

  • Implemented clear and consistent heading structures.

  • Added descriptive alternative text for all images.

  • Optimized color contrast to meet accessibility standards.

  •  Reduced motion effects to enhance readability and usability.

  •  Ensured all videos, audio, and downloadable content are accessible.

Declaration Of Partial Compliance With The Standard Due To Third-party Content

The accessibility of certain pages on the site depend on contents that do not belong to the organization, and instead belong to many different organizations listed in the Work Cited. The following pages are affected by this: About Us, Music, Make a Difference, and Contact Us. We therefore declare partial compliance with the standard for these pages.

Accessibility Arrangements In The Organization

Our band accommodation is designed to ensure accessibility for all members and crew. Accessible parking spaces and ramps provide easy entry, while rehearsal and performance areas feature wheelchair-accessible stages and adjustable equipment. Restrooms and changing rooms are equipped with grab bars and ample space, and our guest rooms include roll-in showers and lowered fixtures. We offer assistive listening devices and have staff trained to assist with specific needs. Accessible transportation options and clearly marked emergency exits ensure safety and convenience for everyone. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where all individuals can focus on their music and performance.
